If you have seen my previous post, you would know I have unconventional taste in things and music is not an exception.
1. Cavetown

Robin is an 19 year old singer-songwriter born in Oxford, England, based in Cambridge, England, who has been writing and producing his own music from his bedroom studio since 2013. Coining the stage name 'Cavetown', Robin has made multiple appearances on stages around Cambridge, captivating his audience with his gentle sound, and moving some to tears with his nostalgic and introspective lyrics. From singing the Harry Potter theme flawlessly at the age of two, being first taught acoustic guitar by his Dad at the age of eight, and gradually building a YouTube following of over 400,000, Robin has always had a love of music and an ambition to share his creations with the world.

Gledhill spent most of her youth in Eureka, California. As a young teenager she lived in Spain and learned its language. She studied music at Brigham Young University. She now lives in Utah with her husband. Mindy's music has developed a strong online audience amongst bloggers and YouTube channels. In 2012, Gledhill was recognized as one of "Utah's 40 Under 40" in the Utah Valley Business Q Magazine. In 2014, she was featured on the cover of Utah Valley Magazine. Gledhill released her debut album The Sum of All Grace in the beginning of 2004 on Lumen Records. However, she soon dropped her label in pursuit of a more indie sound, citing her desire to not be contained by a single musical category. She is recognized for her albums Feather in the Wind (2007), Anchor (2010), and Pocketful of Poetry (2013). She has performed alongside artists including Katie Herzig, Juno Award winner Meaghan Smith, and Meteor Choice Music Prize winner Julie Feeney. In addition to performing solo Mindy also appears with her brother-in-law Dustin Gledhill as Hive Riot.

Dear Evan Hansen is a stage musical with music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and book by Steven Levenson.
The musical opened on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre in December 2016, after its world premiere at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. in July 2015 and an Off-Broadway production at Second Stage Theatre in March to May 2016.
At the 71st Tony Awards, it was nominated for nine awards, winning six, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Actor in a Musical for Ben Platt, and Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Rachel Bay Jones.
4. My Little Pony/ Equestria Girls

Twilight Sparkle pursues a thief into an alternate world where she transforms into a teenager. With the help of new friends, Twilight survives her greatest challenge yet -- high school.
5. Steven Universe

Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. It premiered on May 21, 2013 with its pilot, then on November 4, 2013 with its first season. It is Cartoon Network's first animated show created solely by a woman. It is the coming-of-age story of a young boy, Steven Universe (voiced by Zach Callison), who lives with the Crystal Gems—magical, humanoid aliens named Garnet (Estelle), Amethyst (Michaela Dietz), and Pearl (Deedee Magno Hall)—in the fictional town of Beach City. Steven, who is half-Gem, has adventures with his friends and helps the Gems protect the world from their own kind. The themes of the series include love, family, and the importance of healthy interpersonal relationships. Books, comics and video games based on the series have been released, and a television film is in development.
6. JoJi

George Miller (born 18 September 1992), better known by his stage name Joji and formerly by his YouTube username Filthy Frank, is a Japanese singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer, former Internet personality and comedian.
Miller's start as an entertainer began on his now defunct YouTube channels, DizastaMusic and subsequently TVFilthyFrank, that consisted of rap songs, rants, extreme challenges, ukulele performances and a bizarre show, with most of the main characters played by Miller including the titular character of Filthy Frank. To complement his TVFilthyFrank channel, Miller produced comedy hip hop music under the name Pink Guy, also a zentai-wearing recurring character on The Filthy Frank Show, with his songs featured on the show and his discography spanning two full-length projects and an extended play. Miller's videos had widespread impact including starting a viral dance craze known as the Harlem Shake, which was directly responsible for the debut of Baauer's "Harlem Shake" song atop the Billboard Hot 100. Many YouTube personalities have made major or cameo appearances on The Filthy Frank Show, including Ethan Klein, iDubbbz, JonTron, Michael Stevens, and PewDiePie.
7. B Mike

Born in Los Angeles, California to South Korean immigrants, Michael Byun started writing music when he was fourteen years old in a group where he began to develop skills such as music structuring. He had an emotionally hurtful event in his life, which led him to write his feelings down, creating them into lyrics, and producing his first song the same night. From then on he started writing about life-altering moments, to humorous and witty lyricism as the foundation of his music.
8. Gentle Bones

Joel Tan (born 23 March 1994), better known by his stage name Gentle Bones, is a Singaporean singer-songwriter. His self-titled debut EP, released in 2014, as well as the singles released from it have charted on iTunes and Spotify, making him one of Singapore's more popular acts. Tan started playing the guitar and writing tunes in 2010 at age 16, and has been uploading covers of others' songs onto YouTube since late 2011. Since the creation of his YouTube account, it has garnered more than 4000 subscriptions, as well as two thousand likes on his Facebook page. Explaining his moniker, "Gentle Bones", it came out as random words which when put together, becomes a paradox which evokes a sense of mystery.
9. Lauren Aquilina

Lauren Amber Aquilina is an English singer and songwriter. Born in Bristol, she gained popularity by independently releasing a trilogy of EPs whilst studying at school. Her debut album Isn't It Strange? was released 26 August 2016 after being signed with Island Records and Universal Music Group.
10. Sophie Pecora

Singer and songwriter whose career was jumpstarted when she was discovered by YouTuber Shane Dawson. She created the original song "Best Friends for Cheddar" with Shane and his friends in 2018. She has released singles of her own such as "7th Grade" and "Misfits."
Before Fame
She started singing at age 3, and later picked up the guitar at aged 9, with piano and drums soon following. Her first musical inspirations were Justin Bieber and rappers MattyB and Eminem.
